About me

A passionate creative looking for the next challenge.

I’m a creative artist, sculptor, model maker and designer looking to gather up experience from across the world. I love to get involved with anything creative and have a wide range of experience that can be applied to many different project types.

Creativity is not just a job, it’s a way of life

My first trip to Disney World in Florida back in 2005, was a pivotal point in my career. At the time, I was creating themed areas for visitor attractions and was eager to see how the experts did it. Discovering that they used precisely the same techniques as I had developed over the last twenty years, just on a much larger scale, was such a heartening experience that I ended up taking over two hundred photographs. About twenty were of my wife and I, and the rest was rockwork, walkways, signage and lighting! From then on, I began to explore and develop new and innovative designs, confident that I had the skills to construct my ideas.

Over the following years, my work took a new direction, and I found myself becoming more involved in historical projects and exhibitions which triggered a new obsession for military history.

Since then, I have accumulated thousands more images from all over the world. Thankfully, all of my friends and family know of my obsession with the unusual and are used to me taking photographs of doors, distinctive architecture and museum displays, in fact, anything that’s unusual. These images prove invaluable reference points that I use for inspiration in my design work.

To be able to create something that instantly grabs your attention and blends sympathetically into its environment gives me a real buzz. I thrive on creating innovative designs that are visually stunning and tell a story.

Each place, wherever it is in the world, has evolved from the sacrifices and achievements of the people who were there before.  It tells a unique story of working life, expansion and traditions that the people of that area want to celebrate and share with others. It’s that passion that drives my designs.

Rare moments of downtime

In my rare moments of downtime, I love to research new developments and techniques within the film industry. I know, it doesn’t sound like relaxation, but I’m fascinated with movie production and advancements in technology.

My wife and I also create immersive murder mystery events and weekends with escape room style puzzles for our friends each year. It takes months of preparation but is enormous fun.
